Yesterday I was so excited to go to a Telugu movie after a very very long time. There are very few theaters in our area that air telugu movies, so I was little more excited to watch Arya - 2 mainly the reason being "a Telugu movie".
Read the review before hand but kept every thing aside and watched the movie. The movie goes like this, allu arjun(Arya), and navadeep(Ajay) are orphans. Allu arjun randomly picks navadeep as his frined by placing bubble gum on steps thinking that who steps on bubble would be a friend for his life. Unfortunately its navadeep. Then a couple wants to take custody of one either Allu Arjun or Navadeep and Arjun lets go Navadeep. Some how Allu Arjun joins Navadeeps Office where they both fall in love with Kajal(Geetha). Finally it is who wins Kajal.
The movie's director Sumkumar done a dirty job in portraying the hero's character. Allu Arjun puts pressure on Navadeep to accept his friendship which really never happens in Life and which is totally opposite what actually Arya's motive(In Arya 1, according to arya if it is true love nothing comes in between them, but here he constantly pester's Ajay to feel his friendship eventhough Ajay says he does not feel him as his friend). In But in Arya 2 it has no clear idea what it is going after. At least if director has shown in the beginning of the movie that Allu Arjun was brought up alone with no one in his life, his friend ship value towards Navadeep would have justified, since the beginning of the movie hero was shown with Negative shades and as a Psycho. No body in real life would love or make friend ship with psychotic characters. Navadeep's role was practical and it is apt for the movie. I do not know what Kajal is doing in the movie. Her Characterization is poorly molded in the movie she does not have a opinion of her, she does not know whom she loves, she just takes decision according to particular situation. I find no reason why she gets angry on Navadeep in the end and goes with Arjun, even though from the beginning she supported Navadeep instead of Arjun, that really does not make any sense at all.
But it really needs a mention that Allu Arjun's dance was fantabulous, he nailed it and I am glad that we have such a good dancer in Tollywood. Needless to say about his acting skills, he is at his best.
The only thing I liked in the movie is Arya(Allu Arjun) expressing that he wants to be true to his character either good or bad to his lived one Geetha(Kajal). Literally I had head ache after watching the movie and had to spend on Coffee, a pain relief tablet and half day of sleep to get rid of it.
