Save Shop Spend Smile and Let Smile

The holiday season has begun,  there will be so many deals and discounts. Offers pouring in on brands making us more confused on choosing which one to go for. New styles coming in evading the obsolete ones.  But wait a minute, we might be spending a lot to get what we want, wont it be wonderful  if we can help others while we spend, especially someone who are in need of it.
Who would not come forward that if you spend on something that will help someone’s life?  If you are with me, here it is. There are so many sites, I believe most of us aware of, but if you do not know, there are many websites where we can buy something which would go to the funds of children or the poor.
I have listed all the sites I have come across all these years which I believe are genuine.  If you want to  spend this time have look at these sites and see if you like some thing. We may never know  the child we help today might become a Doctor, an Engineer,  or a Prime Minister or a President. Or the person we help will just live happily for the rest of his/her life.

Happiness - Sweeter Than Sugar

Happy - Of course the definition differs in every person’s dictionary. All it matters
is "are we happy" in the end, in our own perspective. I feel we should make
every effort to be happy and fulfill each and every desire or petty wish
may it be small or big or unimaginable, unthinkable, unbelievable
and impossible.

I have stopped myself from being happy, halting my life, from so many wonderful and splendid moments. Enjoy your life, implementing every wish/dream into action making it real. As we know Life is short and we never know what happens in future so live the
present the way you want to. Do not worry about others, we will never harm  them; just inventing and following our way to the destination, why would we change lanes and get into other, as we are clear that does not lead us to our terminal. Let us try it step by step, because in our busy lives we are becoming mechanical, not giving a moment to think which really makes us happy. Stop for a second and try to remember how many times you really felt happy from the bottom of your heart till now. Cannot count, 100'ds, 50's, 10's at least
once, never mind it is never too late. Start from today, make it a habit, yes you heard it right, a habit, we have lost in touch being happy, lets reconnect, dial until it rings, never hang up. Make sure we implement at least one thing in our wish list, we have been putting on back burner, or afraid of doing it or anything that has been stopping us from a very long time that
 will make us happy.

I believe the taste of happiness would be much sweeter than Sugar.

Life is short but memories are not.  I have a very few friends whom I call and talk to but, here it is, I loved every moment I spent with you and I will cherish this for the rest of my life.  You all have been through my thick and thin and I love you all. I badly feel your absence.  Happy Friendship day.

Its been so many days since I updated my blog. To be honest nothing important was happening in my life to fill up my world with. Even now nothing is in my mind while starting, I do not even know what will be I ending this post with. Wanted to watch Inception  Movie, but could not watch it. And the funny thing is my mom watched it hahha......  Recently started reading a book called Manual of Style and Usage on using English, it is interesting.  Would scribble my pages when I come next time.  Till then 0x0x.

Believe In Your Dreams

Dreams!!! I love dreams and I love to dream. I hear people saying stop dreaming and see reality. As Eleanor Roosvelt said Future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. I believe yes we should, I think dreams reveal the truth what we are and what we really want apart from what we show to outside world. I want to follow my dreams if not now, later even in my 50's or 60's . Just waiting for that moment to step my feet toward my dream. I say dream and dream till you achieve. And by the way I had my birthday recently, had some pics where can I SHOW OFF other than my own world my BLOG. :), and I hope the wishes for my dreams come true.

Life Without Dad

Never could imagine in my life that I will not be able to see the face and hear the voice of my father. The day every body wakes up with a
smile on their face welcoming their valentine, I will be woken up by the dreams as my sister told it will haunt for the rest of my life.
Hearing the words by the well wishers and friends "Life has to go on", "Every thing will be alright" those hurt me a lot not because
life has to move on or all izz well but with each and every present moment becoming the past, my heart sinks to believe that
I have moved far away from my father and I had to live like that. Keeping that fake smile on the face and saying
I am doing fine is more hell than living it. Still haunted by the dreams of my father dying infront of my eyes and the those sleepless nights
tears falling down the cheeks resting on my blanket making it wet, I always tell myself enough has happened and nothing more worse can happen to us.

Eating and Etiquette

I always wanted to learn table etiquettes when I was in my college. I like eating the right way in restaurants, and parties. In college I never got the chance to learn them because we never went to a restaurant or a party. One time my mom had bank training in Hyderabad and she went for 2 days. So it was me and my father left. My father thinks he cooks well but he does not. So he took me to 3 star hotel Bliss for dinner. Since it was a 3 star hotel there was nobody in the restaurant, seriously it was only me and my father.
I really like foods like fried rice, Biryani, Nan, Curry, etc because my mom cooks typical south Indian dishes like Pappu, charu, Koora, Pulusu. So definitely I want to make use of the opportunity to feed my cravings for such foods.
So we went there and sat in a corner, the lights were kept dim just to maintain the ambience. Then there came two server boys and served free fruit juice as a starter. I ordered egg fried rice that was my first time ordering egg dish outside. Hrrmm hrrrmmm … there came my dish in a Ragi(I forgot what we call this in English) bowl. It looked so cute. Tada taddaarmmmm…… I wanted to test my skills using both spoon and a fork. Believe me I do not know how to eat with a fork and a spoon. I know how to eat with two spoons as we use bigger spoon in left hand for support and smaller in right hand one for eating. But with a fork and a spoon I do not know which one hold and which one to use for eating. So I took spoon in the left hand and fork in the right hand and started eating. But after few scoops I thought whom am I fooling here, I came here to eat not for testing my skills. So dropped the spoon and ate with fork.
After coming to USA going out with friends and family quite often, I feel very comfortable in eating with 2 spoons or, a fork and a spoon, knife and fork. But after sitting in a restaurant we will see so many utensils placed left and right to the plate. I never knew which one to pick up first and I always will be in dilemma to use which one for what. So one day I came home and looked at the etiquettes for table and noted down some simple points and tricks to remember.
I hope this will help understand, because, I feel eating it the right way in outside places builds so much confidence in you and you will really feel satisfied with your food. And who would not want to eat the correct way if one knows how to eat right.
If we are with our friends then who cares, it is the time to be fun and I myself do not care how I eat. But in professional world, so many meetings will take place during lunch or dinner. Or just a casual Formal meeting place in restaurant. The first impressions are always the best. Who know this might come in handy when you are with your special one  ;).
I will come up rules of etiquette in my next post. Tell then oxox.

Your Trash Is Someone's Treasure!

Those who do social service and sacrifice their lives for the betterment of others, I believe they are the best human beings. I do not know why but since my child hood or at least I got to know and understand the world and society I was very interested in helping others and I really found peace and happiness in it and I mean it. Period.
One incident changed my whole thinking. Well wanting to help is no different from not helping. When I was  in my intermediate I used to go to college in college bus and while coming back in the evening I watched an old  Lady of age 70 to 75 years old,  every day lying on the foot path and I felt pity for her. One day I saw her lying on the foot path without clothes on her, I thought I should bring a saree from my home and give to her. I went home and asked for my mom for old sarees and I kept one in my bag, but I never had the guts to go to her and give it to her. I was afraid that people would laugh at me or I do not know may be I was afraid how would she react.
Then I realized I am no different from others who do not care for them . Then I told  my self  that people who do not think or have an idea of helping poor or who are in need of it, they are better than me because at least they stick to the point what they thought in their minds. But as per me I wanted to help them but I am not helping them, what the hell was I thinking and trying to achieve. Since then I strongly believed that when ever I get the power to earn money I will do my part of help to the society.
May be this is the reason why every time when I want to get rid off my stuff, I do not throw them away I pack them and give it to Good will here. I feel happy that during my stay in Lafayette as a student all my clothes, stationary and other stuff which I did not use I gave them to good will each semester. Then I thought it will be good if I can make my friends realize this and that is the reason why I asked my friends Deepthi and Amitha not to throw their clothes away instead put in trash and store them. I thank them very much coz they did that help to me in giving their stuff to good will.  I recently gave my cosmetics, clothes and some other stationary to good will when I was cleaning up my room in New Orleans. I thank my self so far and my friends in this journey to do my part to help the society and I hope I will do this till the end of my Life.
It is my humble request to my friends or who ever is reading this, I do not ask you to donate money to a charity or organization, but before throwing away anything may it be pens, note books, text books, clothes, shoes, accessories anything you think is of some value, please give it a second thought. It could really help some others lives.  This is the least we can do as for now in our lives. Believe me the happiness you get from this is incredible and indescribable and I have experienced it and as a friend I want my friends to experience it too. Try it at least for once and make your friends do it too.
